It's Official

Baby number 3 should be here around March 21st. There is a large possibility this child may come out Mexican due to the cravings of Mexican food. Can't get enough of it. It's been kind of rough these first few months so we're all hoping things will start getting better. We are excited even though I'm slightly freaking out!

Pre-School

Audrey has been asking to go to pre-school for a very long time. The time has finally come! I couldn't ever get her to smile normal! Owell. With her best friend Eve Mae It was nice they had one another so they weren't scared. She of course absolutely LOVES it. I get to spend some time with my little man for a couple hours twice a week. He is always very excited when she gets home.

My Favorite Little Boy

The other day I looked over to find Brandon had figured out how to climb up on counters now! He certainly keeps me on my toes all day. He enjoys taking batteries out of the remote controls and it drives us nuts. His favorite way to do it is to throw it on the floor to loosen them up and then proceeds to take them out. He thinks it's great fun to try and walk in his daddy's shoes. Wearing daddy's hat and being cute! He absolutely loves fruit. I just can't get over how cute this little guys is, and I'm so happy he's mine.

FOURTH of JULY

I absolutely love this holiday! I always forget how much I like it until it is actually here. We got all dressed up in our patriotic gear Then headed out to AZ Mills mall to see Cars 2. We weren't super impressed with it, it was alright. We had fun walking around the mall and then thought it would be really fun to try out the Rainforest Cafe. Well that was a mistake because Audrey was terrified and looked like this whole time. We then headed over to my parents for a BBQ. I love this picture of Brandon and Jackson involved in a deep conversation. Brandon was having the time of his life. He got soaked before I could get his swim diaper on him. My sister in law, Amy, found some fun experiments online that kept us entertained. One of them was a smoke bomb drum. Andrew lit the smoke bomb in it and would pound it and it would puff out circles. It was cool. The other experiment was putting dry ice and dish soap in a container with a vacuum hose. It made these amazing bubbles that the k...

Summer Movies

We've been having a great time going to the Summer Movie Fun at Harkins. It's super cheap and a nice way to get out of the house to do something. I didn't know what to expect with my kids, but it has worked out perfectly. Other than Audrey having to go potty 3 times EVERY movie she sits really well through them. Brandon normally takes his nap and it's a very enjoyable time.

Cooking Class

Helen found a wonderful deal on Groupon for a kid's cooking class. The girls absolutely LOVED it! First they gave directions, then everyone got to help put the ingredients in the bowl. They listened to a story. Sorry for the blurry picture, my camera is lame.... or maybe that's me I don't know. Then it was time to taste. Very cute, and very fun! Helen and I both wish we had money to put our girls in more classes.

Toyland

There is this amazing place in Awatukee called Toyland. It's this big room with about 10 different themed kid sized houses. They had a library, grocery store, dress ups etc... and a bazillion toys to play with. One of my best buddies Tanya and I met up. We were in the same ward in Casa Grande and became really good friends. We always seem to be going through the same things at the same time. It was wonderful being able to meet and get caught up. This was the perfect place to do that because the kids just ran off and played and we didn't have to worry about them. It's silly I didn't get any pictures of us!

Pippi Longstocking

Audrey Love Love LOVES Pippi! I used to watch this show all the time when I was a little girl, so it's fun that she enjoys it so much. She insisted that we tried to make her hair look like Pippi's. We did our best with her short hair, she was thrilled.

Riley

I went to college with Riley's mom Judy, and it's fun having them live close by. We don't get together too often but it's always fun to spend time together. We got to watch Riley after school this past school year and have gotten to know him really well. Audrey sometimes tells us she is going to marry Riley.

Swimming Lessons

I was basically terrified of putting Audrey in swimming lessons. She has hated getting her face wet since she was born. I had no idea what to expect, but I think the first class was a bit traumatizing for both of us. There was a lot of screaming from all the kids. Something magical happened on the 3rd day and she all of a sudden LOVED it. She will only put her face in the water with her goggles on, don't even think about suggesting otherwise. Her teacher was very calm, and just pushed her through each routine. We had a slight set back the 2nd to last day, when the swim to the stairs was a bit too long and Audrey ran out of breath and it scared her. Ever since then she has become a little bit reluctant again, but not nearly as much as before swimming. With the little girlie's in her class Keeping Brandon entertained during swimming was a bit of a challenge he wanted to throw rocks and sticks and everything he could find into the pool, but we made it through :)

Carpet Cleaning

We had our carpets cleaned and boy was that a mess! Part of our rental agreement is we get them cleaned once a year. The kids loved the set up though, and it's nice to have our carpets clean, but not looking forward to that again.

Dance Recital

On the way to the recital I was telling Pete that when I was younger and thought about being a mom, a dance recital was one of those things I looked forward too. This was the first year Audrey has been in dance and she loves it. (shaking her birdy bootie) We were supposed to drop our kids off an hour early so they could do a run through. I was worried about this because Audrey seems fearless but she doesn't cope too well when she isn't comfortable with her surroundings, she's been like this since she's been born. I gave her a kiss and told her to play with the kids. As I was leaving she started running around and laughing with the other kids, so I snuck out (her class sans Audrey) When we came back for the performance her teacher, Laura, informed me Audrey screamed and screamed until she fell asleep back stage. I felt terrible. Audrey doesn't normally take naps, so I knew she had to have been pretty upset to make herself go to sleep. After waking her up I tried co...

Ear Infection

Ear infections are kind of a new thing around here. Audrey never had one as a baby, I guess none that I knew about. I had my first ear infection when we were in Casa Grande and it was absolutely miserable I feel so bad for them when they have one. This ear infection made Audrey throw up a few times, which made it all the more miserable for her... and me. She is scared of the doctor so I told her when she is brave enough to go we will. She finally mustered up enough gusto to go. She was SO SO SO brave this time I couldn't believe it. She hung onto me like this the whole time but didn't cry once. We ended up trying the chewable antibiotics. The first one she took out of her mouth and threw... but I told her if she did that again we would go right back to the doctor. She has been taking it ever since.

Jackson

We've been able to look after Jackson a couple times this last month while Amy has gone through radiation again. It's been a lot of fun spending time with him. He gets so excited every time he sees Audrey and Brandon. He's such a sweet little guy and we love spending time with him. He wasn't so sure about the pool at first, probably because it was pretty cold. Audrey loved being in charge of the hose, of course Brandon is always up for an adventure. This kid has no fear Both of these guys absolutely love this marble contraption. Most of the time the marbles end up in Brandon's mouth, but they will just sit and play, it's very cute.
