Random Snippets

We let Audrey cut Melanie's hair and she actually did a great job! Elliott and I joined Noom to help keep us accountable about what we're eating and getting in a walk every day. We've done really well so far and have collectively lost about 30 pounds. It helps having him home all day for work and the kids being homeschooled so that we can all do this together. It's made a big difference so far and I'm really happy how things are going. We needed a day out of the house so we headed to get some lunch at Torchy's Masks have now become our new normal. the girls made little necklaces that attach to the mask so that they can just hang on us when we aren't wearing them. Love this new mask from Old Navy Prepping her Halloween costume Just some random pictures of Ellie

Trip to Dallas/ Elliott's Birthday/ World Series

As bizarre and crazy as this year has been not only did the Dodger's make it to the World Series but it would take place 3 hours away from us in Dallas! I mean... what are the chances? Best birthday present for Elliott ever. Tickets were being sold in groupings of 4 in order to abide social distancing protocols. Elliott purchased the first grouping of 4, then went back to buy another grouping of 4 so our whole family could go but by then, within 20 min, the whole stadium had been sold out! Tickets that were being sold for $75 from MLB were now going for $500 on Stub Hub. At this point we didn't know if the Dodger's would even make it to the World Series, but we figured we could definitely sell the tickets for a profit if they didn't.  The Dodgers did end up making it to the World Series so we began planning our trip out to Dallas. The plan was for Audrey and Brandon to go with Elliott to the game while Ellie and I hung out at the hotel because she didn't want to go....

Dewberry Farm

It's been a really warm October and the Friday of fall break we happened to have a cold front blow in giving us a beautiful cloudy 60 degree day. It felt chilly! I asked Pete if he could take a half day so we could take the kids to Dewberry Farm. We had made 2 previous reservations but the highs were in the mid 90's and we didn't think it would be enjoyable. He immediately put the request to be done with work, we made a reservation and within 15 min were on our way! We didn't really know what to expect but were blown away with how fun this place was. It was an absolute blast and we are hoping to visit again during Christmas time.
