Dance Recital

On the way to the recital I was telling Pete that when I was younger and thought about being a mom, a dance recital was one of those things I looked forward too. This was the first year Audrey has been in dance and she loves it. (shaking her birdy bootie) We were supposed to drop our kids off an hour early so they could do a run through. I was worried about this because Audrey seems fearless but she doesn't cope too well when she isn't comfortable with her surroundings, she's been like this since she's been born. I gave her a kiss and told her to play with the kids. As I was leaving she started running around and laughing with the other kids, so I snuck out (her class sans Audrey) When we came back for the performance her teacher, Laura, informed me Audrey screamed and screamed until she fell asleep back stage. I felt terrible. Audrey doesn't normally take naps, so I knew she had to have been pretty upset to make herself go to sleep. After waking her up I tried co...

Ear Infection

Ear infections are kind of a new thing around here. Audrey never had one as a baby, I guess none that I knew about. I had my first ear infection when we were in Casa Grande and it was absolutely miserable I feel so bad for them when they have one. This ear infection made Audrey throw up a few times, which made it all the more miserable for her... and me. She is scared of the doctor so I told her when she is brave enough to go we will. She finally mustered up enough gusto to go. She was SO SO SO brave this time I couldn't believe it. She hung onto me like this the whole time but didn't cry once. We ended up trying the chewable antibiotics. The first one she took out of her mouth and threw... but I told her if she did that again we would go right back to the doctor. She has been taking it ever since.

Jackson

We've been able to look after Jackson a couple times this last month while Amy has gone through radiation again. It's been a lot of fun spending time with him. He gets so excited every time he sees Audrey and Brandon. He's such a sweet little guy and we love spending time with him. He wasn't so sure about the pool at first, probably because it was pretty cold. Audrey loved being in charge of the hose, of course Brandon is always up for an adventure. This kid has no fear Both of these guys absolutely love this marble contraption. Most of the time the marbles end up in Brandon's mouth, but they will just sit and play, it's very cute.

Cousin's at IKEA

Pete's sister and family came down the other week and everybody met for dinner at Olive Garden. By the time we got there Audrey was asleep! I missed dinner because I took Audrey home so I was happy we were able to meet up with them for lunch at IKEA. I had never eaten there before. They had a fun little play area with Audrey's favorite... a play kitchen. She had fun playing with Elizabeth even though it was short. Brandon had fun climbing on top of everything the little monkey.

Dress Up

These girls are always in dress ups. I wish I took a picture of them everyday for the last month, because it's always something different. I get a kick out of these 2. One min they are screaming at each other, and the next they are the best of friends.

Good Morning

Our kids don't sleep in. If they make it past 6:30 it's an extremely rare occasion. The problem with this is that Pete and I are not exactly morning folk. We make goals that say we will be in bed before 10pm, but after a week or so we are back to staying up way to late. Having Netflix is not helping either. We love watching documentaries and could watch them all night long. Every morning looks a little something like this. Our kids full of energy and ready to conquer the day, while Pete and I are wanting to kill ourselves.
