Smith Family

 Audrey woke me up yesterday dressed like this, and told me she was never taking this wig off. ONLY to sleep or take a bath is what she told me. Thank heavens that only lasted 10 min. The red lipstick is from her birthday party, we (Pete and I) will be happy when that is gone!  She is a good big sister and plays well with Brandon and Melanie. Her teacher at school will just go on and on about how advanced she is, and she is able to play well with all the kids and all the kids want to sit by her and be her friend.  We just got done making these valentines for her to take to class today. She loves doing crafty things just like her momma! I feel like she is a very special spirit, and I am so blessed to be her mom. Sometimes she can be so strong willed, I hope I can always steer her in the right direction. I love her bright and vivacious personality.

 Brandon's face 90% of the time is a huge mess! He also jumped off a friends dresser the other day and added one more wound to his face. It's on his eye.  I'd say he is just about potty trained. He will have an accident here and there, but for the most part he is pretty good about it. One day he just told me he was ready and that was that! I was dreading having to do some sort of routine but he decided on his own. He used to call me mom-mom, now he calls me momeea. He can call me whatever he wants, he melts my heart!

Lately I can't seem to stop snapping pictures of Melanie. If Audrey is around when I get my camera out you better believe she will find a way into the photo, silly girl!  She just popped her first tooth yesterday! We were worried she wasn't going to get any teeth it has taken her so long.  She's had a bit of a runny nose. The other day while I was nursing her she was struggling to breath and she looked right up at me and says, uh oh. It was darling.  She's still sleeping in our bed. I know that's going to change real soon, like next week. Poor baby, that's going to be a hard week for her and me! It's long overdue, I can't help spoiling her.  We like to call her Ellie, or Mel.   She turns ONE next month. Wow!  She is so sweet, and calm but don't let that fool you! This is how my little man looks these days. He is so accident prone. He looks a lot like my dad, and my dad is notorious for his many incidents! Figures. I'm going to get reported to CPS, I swear I don't beat my children! Here are the chain of events. This lady in our ward gave Brandon these awesome boots. He LOVES them and even though they are a bit big he wears them all the time. He likes us to refer to him as Woody whenever he is sporting these guys. The problem is he tends to be a bit clumsy in them. So he was running around his room playing and ended up tripping. Here is the scene of the injury, as you can see it wasn't pretty. We thought he would end up with stitches but the doctor said it was okay. So they just taped him up and that was that! This wasn't nearly as traumatic as the finger incident, I hope we can keep these traumatic experience to a minimum!  Can't he just be my little boy forever??  My heart is so full tonight. I feel blessed to be this little girls mom. She makes me laugh everyday. This post is picture overloaded but I want to remember her little expressions and how easily it is to delight her  We feel like we hit the jackpot again on Craigslist. We got this Barbie Dream house which is in very good shape, furniture, 27 barbies and tons of clothes for $50. She couldn't have been more thrilled.  Brandon ended up randomly throwing up right before breakfast and didn't throw up again and didn't have a fever and acted as if nothing had happened the rest of the day. It was very weird. We joked that he felt like he needed a bit of attention too!  Grandma Carolyn always sends the best gifts.
