Smith Family

 The Easter egg kit we got said we could use vinegar, lemon juice or water. I have only ever done vinegar so we tried all 3, and they all worked really well. I was surprised!  This egg was from using lemon juice, and it was so vibrant!  On Easter Brandon stuffed a whole peeled egg in his mouth and threw up. It was really nice.  The city planned our irrigation the night before Easter!! Seriously?! So, the Easter Bunny had to hide the eggs inside.   All ready for church, we had a happy Easter!

 "Happy birthday dear Melanie, happy birthday to YOU!" She didn't know what to do with the candle, but she did like it!  She also liked the muffin!  This was her little birthday outfit, I forgot to get a picture of her car we got her that she LOVES! We go on family walks and she will sit in there the whole time with no fuss, it's great.  A couple days after we had her party. I had fun decorating Melanie got all prettied up for her special day  The food! We always do hot dogs, I wanted to try something else so we did breakfast for dinner. Melanie had an easier time eating this than a BBQ anyways, so it worked out.  We can just pretend this is her eating her cake... I kinda forgot that part! I know... we didn't even sing to her. I think Grandma Carolyn did :)  The kids asked Grandma Carolyn to eat at their table and she obliged. What a nice grandma!   Happy birthday sweet girl, we sure ...

 During FHE yesterday we were talking about Joseph Smith and Audrey related to us the whole story. I was so impressed. Such a little smarty pants.    Just a few shots of our Ellie Girl.  She might have a bit of a curl to her hair.  Oh my gosh, I just love this little girl to pieces!

Sometimes I just can't do dinner. The energy it takes to make it, then the kids won't eat it. This was the first dinner they have liked in weeks!

  Our park days are becoming very limited now that summer is just around the corner. The other night the weather was perfect, so we went to go play.  Audrey jumps over and over again trying to reach this bar. When she is able to finally grab it, it's like Christmas morning. Every time! I'm so happy I caught her expression.   This little man prefers to ride in a swing like this. He runs super fast and then flies back and forth.  Melanie is always unsure about walking in the sand at first  Brandon thought this leaf was really cool!  My handsome boy! I feel like these pictures really capture what my kiddos look like every day. Hairs not done, mis matched clothes, but loving life.  Starting to get a feel for the sand  Our monkey boy! Oh the simple things in life :)

 Audrey woke me up yesterday dressed like this, and told me she was never taking this wig off. ONLY to sleep or take a bath is what she told me. Thank heavens that only lasted 10 min. The red lipstick is from her birthday party, we (Pete and I) will be happy when that is gone!  She is a good big sister and plays well with Brandon and Melanie. Her teacher at school will just go on and on about how advanced she is, and she is able to play well with all the kids and all the kids want to sit by her and be her friend.  We just got done making these valentines for her to take to class today. She loves doing crafty things just like her momma! I feel like she is a very special spirit, and I am so blessed to be her mom. Sometimes she can be so strong willed, I hope I can always steer her in the right direction. I love her bright and vivacious personality.
