Disneyland

Apparently I did a bad job taking pictures, I was just having too much fun! Once again all the good ones are on my mom's camera. Since she is computer challenged I'm not so sure those pictures will ever made their way to the computer. So mine will have to do, even though none of them look like we are at Disneyland. All I'm going to say is it was the best trip ever!
Good morning pretty girl let's get ready for Disneyland! Of course she was up and ready to go at the crack of dawn.
I'm so sad this picture is dark because it is so darn cute! Audrey knew something exciting was going on from the moment she woke up. She couldn't quite dancing, clapping and laughing.
She woke up SO early and didn't take her usual morning nap since there was too much going on. Around noon I was on my way to the mothers room which is a little hidden treasure tucked away on Main Street. I was almost there when she just hunched over and was completely out! So I just wrapped her in the Bjorn and she hung out in there for a 2 hour nap which is almost UNHEARD of for her.
Just a cute father daughter picture
This is Audrey with her signature Oooo face. It was SO nice to have my family there because they were more than willing to hang out with Audrey if Pete and I wanted to go on a ride.
I'm not sure why this is side ways it kinda drives me crazy. We were on the Alice and Wonderland ride, and Audrey looks terrified! She did really great on most of the rides. If she ever got nervous she would just burrow her head in my neck.
Audrey's souvenir. She fell in love with this little Pooh Bear it was so cute! She still loves to hold him (or her... I don't know why it's a pink shirt) Why this was $18 I'll never know, but she loves it.
This my friends is heaven in a cup. The fact that it's made out of pineapple makes me believe it's healthy, whether that is true or not I don't know nor do I want to know. It's possible we devoured multiple pineapple floats.
Now this is what I get to deal with... and Audrey is such a great helper. Probably a couple hour job turned into a couple day job! I don't know what my problem is but I'm having the hardest time getting back on schedule! I feel like my house is never getting cleaned and nothing is getting done. Owell, we had a wonderful time and the house may stay a mess for a couple days because I have to get Christmas shopping taken care of.

Amelia, your little one is such a DOLL! It looks like you had tons of fun. Oh and I always have a hard time coming home from trips and getting back into my routines. (emily van natter stephenson)

How fun! Glad you guys had a good time! Disneyland is a blast.I love the Pooh bear thing! How cute that she got attached to it. I am the same way when I get home from
trips. I just leave things in suit cases until I can get around to it! ( Sad Huh?)

Happy New Year!

We thought we’d bring some new energy to 2021 by completely tearing our house apart and getting our carpets cleaned. The cleaners were scheduled for December 30th, so we pulled everything out of bedrooms and gave the walls and baseboards a good scrub. In order to allow the carpets time to dry we didn’t want to walk on them so we used Elliott’s points and got a hotel up in the Woodlands. We stayed at the Marriott along the waterway and it was beautiful. There ended up being a storm that night which was unfortunate because we weren’t able to walk down the waterway and enjoy the whole scene up there. We ordered Shake Shack from Uber Eats and watched Hook all snuggled up in our beds. It was a perfect evening.  Once we returned home we got to work putting bedrooms back together then later that night celebrated the new year! It’s become tradition for us to do taste tests with the kids blindfolded. We did different flavored oreo’s and ice drinks. We ordered Buffalo Wild Wings and wa...

Good Morning

Our kids don't sleep in. If they make it past 6:30 it's an extremely rare occasion. The problem with this is that Pete and I are not exactly morning folk. We make goals that say we will be in bed before 10pm, but after a week or so we are back to staying up way to late. Having Netflix is not helping either. We love watching documentaries and could watch them all night long. Every morning looks a little something like this. Our kids full of energy and ready to conquer the day, while Pete and I are wanting to kill ourselves.

December

There are a lot of words that could be used to describe 2020. Unpredictable, scary, death, political insanity, isolation, divisive, racial inequality, quarantine, masks etc. etc. It was really rough for us around June-October when we had no idea whether or not Elliott would have a job. Thankfully we were one of the lucky ones that didn't get furloughed. Financially speaking our biggest hit was that overtime was cut. We had big plans of paying off a lot of debt from law school and going on our first family trip to Disneyworld. Without that overtime we make about $2,000 less a month and it's quite a hit, but we are making it work. We canceled our Disneyworld trip and are living paycheck to paycheck but had Elliott been furloughed for an undermined amount of time I don't know what we would have done. I know there are many families in that situation and I wish we were in a position to offer some assistance instead of treading water. I feel very blessed and fortunate for where w...
