Okay I got tagged again, and I just really think it's fun because I'm a dork like that! I apologize if you're not that interested in random facts about my life. Here are the rules, share 5-7 random facts about your life.

1) I used to take clogging when I was around 12ish, and I totally loved it! I realize now that it's kinda embarrassing, but I had no idea :) It was great exercise and I had so much fun. Maybe I should find an adult class somewhere... haha
2) It drives me nuts when people say malk instead of milk, I'm pretty sure it's spelt with an i not an a. Malk sounds like warm curdled nastiness. Milk sounds like deliciousness.
3) I'm probably one of the most laid back people you'll meet. Nothing really ever bothers me, and I just go with the flow. BUT, whenever I make something, or am in charge of something, or when I had projects for school I become completely anal about it. I want it to be perfect! This is part of the reason I don't scrapbook. Other reasons are money, and time, 2 things I don't have much of, but mostly because I will go crazy making sure that the page is excellent before I can be done with it.
4)  I'm not a big fan of talking on the phone, I find it really awkward. I AM a big fan of texting. I'd rather just say it in a sentence and be done with it as opposed to the small talk, the tiny nugget of important info, then the uncomfortable end when you don't know how to say good bye! I will admit I enjoy a good phone conversation every now and then, but for the most part I'd rather not.  Although it's possible I would enjoy talking on the phone if I had one that looks like this, with my name on it.
5) I lived in Nauvoo for a semester which was probably one of the best things I've ever done with my life. It was right after high school and since I didn't know what I wanted to go to school for it was the perfect time to leave and gain a truly strong testimony. I went during Fall semester so around this time I always wish I can go visit there. It could have something to do with the fact that this was the first time I actually experienced a TRUE Fall, but I really want to go visit there right now!! If only we had the $, Pete was done with school, and Audrey was easier to travel with.... Guess that won't be happening for a while :)
6) I honest to goodness used to think that we lived INSIDE the earth. I seriously thought this up until I was in high school, I kid you not! Apparently I missed school the day we learned about the earth.... or I have zero common sense! Probably the second one ;)
Okay now I get to tag people if you would like to do it, because I would LOVE to read it. Dustin, Kemra, Liesle,  Amanda, and Lindsey.

I TOTALLY agree with #4, I am the same way. I email and text, but hate to talk on the phone. I rarely even talk to my husband on the phone, we text. :) And #6 really made me laugh.
That was fun to learn more about you! I agree with the whole malk/ milk thing. Annoying if you ask me! Thanks for the tag! :)

Happy New Year!

We thought we’d bring some new energy to 2021 by completely tearing our house apart and getting our carpets cleaned. The cleaners were scheduled for December 30th, so we pulled everything out of bedrooms and gave the walls and baseboards a good scrub. In order to allow the carpets time to dry we didn’t want to walk on them so we used Elliott’s points and got a hotel up in the Woodlands. We stayed at the Marriott along the waterway and it was beautiful. There ended up being a storm that night which was unfortunate because we weren’t able to walk down the waterway and enjoy the whole scene up there. We ordered Shake Shack from Uber Eats and watched Hook all snuggled up in our beds. It was a perfect evening.  Once we returned home we got to work putting bedrooms back together then later that night celebrated the new year! It’s become tradition for us to do taste tests with the kids blindfolded. We did different flavored oreo’s and ice drinks. We ordered Buffalo Wild Wings and wa...

Good Morning

Our kids don't sleep in. If they make it past 6:30 it's an extremely rare occasion. The problem with this is that Pete and I are not exactly morning folk. We make goals that say we will be in bed before 10pm, but after a week or so we are back to staying up way to late. Having Netflix is not helping either. We love watching documentaries and could watch them all night long. Every morning looks a little something like this. Our kids full of energy and ready to conquer the day, while Pete and I are wanting to kill ourselves.

December

There are a lot of words that could be used to describe 2020. Unpredictable, scary, death, political insanity, isolation, divisive, racial inequality, quarantine, masks etc. etc. It was really rough for us around June-October when we had no idea whether or not Elliott would have a job. Thankfully we were one of the lucky ones that didn't get furloughed. Financially speaking our biggest hit was that overtime was cut. We had big plans of paying off a lot of debt from law school and going on our first family trip to Disneyworld. Without that overtime we make about $2,000 less a month and it's quite a hit, but we are making it work. We canceled our Disneyworld trip and are living paycheck to paycheck but had Elliott been furloughed for an undermined amount of time I don't know what we would have done. I know there are many families in that situation and I wish we were in a position to offer some assistance instead of treading water. I feel very blessed and fortunate for where w...
